Kaitlyn's Dedication

"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6

This verse is our prayer as we raise our sweet daughter in God's grace. We had Kaitlyn dedicated during the church service on Sunday, March 30th. This was a public prayer and commitment on our part, as her parents, to bring her up in the light of who God is. Keith and I are so fortunate to understand that God wants a personal relationship with each of us and we have the awesome responsibility to bring that knowledge to our children and serve as an example. We thank our family for supporting us and being a part of this special day!

Easter Holiday (Part II)

What is Easter without coloring eggs? Actually, this is the first time Austin had colored eggs and we all had a good time with Cousin Blakely and Aunt Ashley!

Austin is on the hunt again! His third egg hunt was at Mamaw & Papaw's house on Easter Sunday afternoon. He had fun, but this time he was screening the eggs for the candy he wanted.

Easter Holiday (Part I)

We had such a great Easter holiday as a family! Easter has always been a special time of year for me personally and it was so fun this year! It was Kaitlyn's first Easter and Austin had a great time hunting eggs on three separate occasions.

Austin's first Easter egg hunt this year was at his pre-school. He was so excited to open that first egg!

Our church's Easter egg hunt was the second we attended this year. But this time, Kaitlyn got to participate. Keith got to take some time off and came from the fire station.

We are all waiting for the big Easter hunt to begin! There were 7000 eggs out there! Austin is waiting patiently and being cute with his basket.

And they're off......it was a mad dash of kids, parents, cameras and baskets!

Baby Girl found some eggs too! She was equally fascinated by her shoe that she was able to take off by herself.

The kids really had a good time!

It was a big morning. On our way home, Kaitlyn sacked out.

Austin purposefully put his Easter eggs up on the landing. He knew Kaitlyn couldn't get to him while he checked out his candy!

Bath Night!

When "Bath Night" is declared at our house.......we get serious........serious about making our hair do wacky and wild things! This night it was the mohawk!

Snow Day in Texas

Believe it or not, sometimes it even snows in Texas. Funny thing is just three days earlier we went to the zoo, it was 80 degrees.


Kaitlyn had never seen snow, she wasn't sure what to make if it.


Austin and I built this little guy. We Texans don't get much practice at snow men as you can tell.


Austin put the finishing touches on our little snow man.

We are still proud of our little guy. He had to have a hat as you can see.

Austin thought his lawnmower would make cool trails in the snow, he was right it did.

Kaitlyn finally touched the snow, she still isn't to sure about why we had her out in the cold. She doesn't have to worry it is going to be 70 tomorrow.


Here she is trying to figure out what is on her hand and why Mommy didn't put gloves on her.

Austin figured out that snow made a pretty cool snack as well.

Day at the Zoo (Fort Worth Zoo)

Last Saturday was so beautiful. We decided to take the kids to the zoo in Fort Worth. Austin had been to the Dallas Zoo a couple of times but none of us had been to the Fort Worth Zoo, at least not since I was a kid. So this was Kaitlyn's first trip to the zoo. We had a great time and the kids did wonderful.

This was the first stop. That big guy in the back ground put on quite a show, he did some push ups that reminded Austin and Mommy of Me. It must have been the similar size of our arms.

Some kid threw his shoe in the exhibit. This bear loved it, he played with it the whole time we were watching him.

This is the same bear, Kaitlyn thought she could get in their and play with that shoe too.

Austin is so cute. He really couldn't figure out why we couldn't just hop the fences and get closer to all the animals.

My two sweethearts. It doesn't get any better than watching your sweeties enjoy a beautiful day.

Kaitlyn loved the zoo. She rode in her stroller like a champ, she also cooperated well and laid down and took a nap while we were there.



Mommy and Austin rode the Carousel that was in the Old Texas Town in the zoo. It is cool it is like walking into the wild west and then they have all the animals of Texas as well.

How would you like to walk up on this guy in the dark? No not Austin, the life sized Gator.

Austin really enjoyed the reptiles, we spent a lot of time looking at all the snakes and lizards.
