Family-ful Christmas

We had so much fun with Kaitlyn's first Christmas this year! Here is one of her first ornaments for our tree.

Speaking of firsts.....Austin had his first pre-school Christmas program. His 3-year-old class sang "Away In A Manger", "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas".........Austin sang "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." We think he was warming up during the first song. We are so proud of him! He is getting so big!

Kaitlyn wasn't too sure about this funny little hat, but that was before we saw Santa.

Austin was a little bit shy at first, but quickly warmed up when Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas. He told Santa he wanted a race track and dump truck! Kaitlyn was in observation mode. She kept looking up at him.

Here is our family photo at the Perkins Family Christmas. We take one every year of each little family. It is fun to see how much our families have grown!

Daddy took Kaitlyn on her first four-wheelin' expedition. She liked it so much that she whined every time Keith stopped.

This wisk is so fun for babies! When Austin was a baby he played with the same one. Both Kaitlyn and Austin had fun whirling it around and hitting Pop in the head.

On our way to the Christmas Eve Service at First Baptist Church Malakoff. Of course, we had to take another cute family pic!

I bought this calendar with the doors for Austin, so that he would know when Christmas Day was coming. He got really excited when he opened the 24th door.....I'm sure it was the stickers I placed in there for him!





Kaitlyn is waiting for her first Christmas on Christmas Eve! She is such a happy baby! Maybe that is because she thought all of those presents behind her were for her.

Wow! Santa brought Austin exactly what he asked for.....a race track and dump truck!





And of course, Baby Girl got something special too from Santa Claus!

Austin got this truck that looks just like Daddy's truck from Pop & BeBe. He had a blast driving it around. But he takes his driving very seriously!

Thanksgiving Weekend

It's so hard to get every one of us looking in the same direction, let alone all smiling!

Austin ate about 2 bites of Thanksgiving dinner and went right for the desserts!

Baby Girl had so much fun watching everyone run around during Thanksgiving! Next year she will get to skip dinner and go right for the desserts!

By the end of Thanksgiving, she settled into Daddy's lap and took a quick snooze. She doesn't want to miss a thing, so she slept for about 5 minutes or so!

That Grandpa sure is funny!

Mom, Dad and Wesley (the dog) came up for a couple of days and as you can tell.......did a great job of entertaining the kiddos!

Kaitlyn 6 months old!

She is such a good baby! Her face lights up when she smiles.......and mine too!

Eating her first solid foods......she took right to it!

I had put Kaitlyn on this quilt while I cleaned up her room. I looked back and she was under the crib!

We are learning to sit up and play with our toys!

Fall Festivities

Kaitlyn's First Halloween! Mom made this wonderful pumpkin costume along with the shoes and headband. Kaitlyn was such a big hit at both Fall Festivals we went to!



Austin has an arm on him already! He thought it was pretty neat that he had the same helmet as the football players on TV. "I have a helmet like that!"

Kaitlyn doesn't want to miss a thing! She really enjoyed watching all of the kiddos at the Fall Festivals. She missed her last nap of the day, but as you can tell, she was a trooper.

Hanging out in September

We have had a lot of fun this month. We have been just hanging around the house and trying to spend some good quality family time together. Austin is adjusting to his new schedule with preschool. He seems to be having a lot of fun. He is learning Spanish. He already knows red, blue and green in Spanish. Kaitlyn is doing great. Jenn has gotten her on a good schedule now. She figured out how to suck her thumb, so she is good at putting herself back to sleep when she wakes up. Jenn and I have been working on fixing up some things around the house. I planted some new grass in the front and back yard, and Jenn repainted our master bathroom. It is funny the things you can get done when Austin is at school.



We all went to the Plano Hot Air Balloon Festival. It was really cool to watch. Austin thought we were going to get to ride in one, but you had to be 10 years old to ride and it was $250 bucks a pop. I told him he could ride when he turned 10 and could pay his own way.



Hope everyone is doing well. Here are a few pictures of our family.

I can't wait 'til he can really mow. He has been wearing his Cowboy hat and boots all the time.

Preschool has gotten tough.

Kaitlyn must be the cutest baby ever.

Kaitlyn started using the exersaucer this month. She likes it for a short period of time.

My two girls sure are pretty. Mommy loves her little girl.

They sure are a good looking bunch.

I bought Kaitlyn a hat. I couldn't resist, she looks good in pink. This is her hip way of wearing it.




This is at the Balloon Festival. The weather was great and we had a great view of all the balloons as they took off.

I am not sure what Austin is looking at here. Mommy and Kaitlyn are just hanging out on our blanket.




Kaitlyn had a great time. She stayed up until all the balloons took off and even watched the firework show without getting upset.




When it got dark all the balloons that were left on the ground lit up at the same time. It was really cool. Later that evening, there was a great firework show. We were in a perfect spot. The fireworks show was directly over our heads. Austin and Kaitlyn both watched every firework and had a great time.
