Hanging out in September

We have had a lot of fun this month. We have been just hanging around the house and trying to spend some good quality family time together. Austin is adjusting to his new schedule with preschool. He seems to be having a lot of fun. He is learning Spanish. He already knows red, blue and green in Spanish. Kaitlyn is doing great. Jenn has gotten her on a good schedule now. She figured out how to suck her thumb, so she is good at putting herself back to sleep when she wakes up. Jenn and I have been working on fixing up some things around the house. I planted some new grass in the front and back yard, and Jenn repainted our master bathroom. It is funny the things you can get done when Austin is at school.



We all went to the Plano Hot Air Balloon Festival. It was really cool to watch. Austin thought we were going to get to ride in one, but you had to be 10 years old to ride and it was $250 bucks a pop. I told him he could ride when he turned 10 and could pay his own way.



Hope everyone is doing well. Here are a few pictures of our family.

I can't wait 'til he can really mow. He has been wearing his Cowboy hat and boots all the time.

Preschool has gotten tough.

Kaitlyn started using the exersaucer this month. She likes it for a short period of time.

My two girls sure are pretty. Mommy loves her little girl.

They sure are a good looking bunch.

I bought Kaitlyn a hat. I couldn't resist, she looks good in pink. This is her hip way of wearing it.




This is at the Balloon Festival. The weather was great and we had a great view of all the balloons as they took off.

Kaitlyn had a great time. She stayed up until all the balloons took off and even watched the firework show without getting upset.




When it got dark all the balloons that were left on the ground lit up at the same time. It was really cool. Later that evening, there was a great firework show. We were in a perfect spot. The fireworks show was directly over our heads. Austin and Kaitlyn both watched every firework and had a great time.

Austin's First Day of Preschool (Sept. 5, 2007)

Austin is ready to go to his first day of preschool!

Austin has a big smile on his face as he enters his classroom! He is very excited! No tears....from Austin anyway!

It sure was quiet at home with Austin at preschool. We wondered what he was doing, but knew he was a having a good time with this new experience. He came home talking about songs, stamps, paint, new friends, teachers, and is ready to go back next week!

Fossil Rim Family Vacation (Labor Day Weekend)

We took our first official family vacation to Fossil Rim Wildlife Ranch. We all had a great time! Even Kaitlyn had a close encounter with a deer.

We all stayed at the Lodge in one room. It really wasn't too bad.

Onalaska Trip (Aug. 18-19)

Austin went out on the lake for the first time when we visited Grandma and Grandpa in Onalaska. At first he wasn't sure about it, but he quickly warmed up to the idea.

Daddy showed off some of his wake boarding moves....and some of his crashing techniques.

After a little convincing, Austin decided it was OK to join Mommy and Daddy in the lake.

This is the first time we all got to go down and attend the service at Paul's new church. He was very excited and we all had a great time.
